Hello everyone.

Recently myself and some other staff members have been discussing an important problem on the server. Our economy, like on most minecraft servers, is unrealistic and boring. There is no way to spend money to any great use and it is far too easy to gain. We have set out a plan for our changes, and I was planning on starting them tonight, but due to some negative feedback, I have instead chosen to get the opinion of you the players first on the changes as some of them may seem like a negative, but I can assure you would be beneficial in the long run. Ok so here it is:

First: we would update to a different jobs plugin with more jobs and adjusted, more realistic pay rates.
Second: money would be reset so we could have a fresh start (this is the only negative to the whole plan, but I can assure you would be good in the long run)

Third: To get shops up and running We'll create a maximum price list for all items, that way everyone knows how much things are worth and prices dont fall too low or get too high. the prices on the list will shift with item demand, like a stock exchange.

fourth: we add lots of plugins and give you guys lots of new ways to spend money, such as new perks and the ability to buy titles and warps with in game money. I cant go into details here but the changes will be immense, we have it all planned out here are just a few of the plugins i plan on adding:

STOCK-CRAFT this one's really interesting, a stock market trading plugin based on real stock values, have a look, I think its pretty cool.

This could be a purchasable reward. Essentially, it works just like an enderchest, but it automatically sorts your items. Pretty awesome.

This would be absolutely perfect for people who are always enchanting things. Also, with the removal of tier 5 enchantments from the game, this could be a way for people to get them. This would obviously be super expensive, and we'd have to judge that based on the new economy, but I think this would be one of the more popular plugins to get the economy going.

This could be a cool idea, possibly installing a class system onto the server, which could be good or bad. Possibly with each rank up you would get a few new petty commands. With the highest rank (probably being around 1mil) giving limited movecraft perms, possibly a 200 block aircraft? This would give the regs more incentive to get money, while at the same time, making the people who have the needed money want to donate to get full perms.


then after all this is done we will have a realistic much more fun economy. We have to understand that loosing money is for the greater good, and is the only way we can fix this problem, also understand that the value of things will go down with money, so people will have less but money will be worth more, so hopefully it shouldnt affect us much, thats the idea of the maximum price list.
